Jaime Nebot, mayor of Guayaquil, has just tweeted, saying the death toll has not risen any further in his city overnight.
At this time no new deaths or more wounded in Guayaquil are reported. The numbers are: 1 death and 6 not seriously injured.

#Ecuador’s Risk Management agency has announced that residents who evacuated coastal towns because of the risk of a tsunami can return home now.
The epicentre of the quake, around the coast, is sparsely populated, mainly by tourist beaches and fishing villages.
